Lasagna

 

½ pound lasagna pasta

1 onion

1 ½ pounds hamburger

2 jars spaghetti sauce (1 pound each)

2 pounds cottage cheese

1-pound mozzarella cheese thinly sliced

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

 

Boil 6 quarts water; add 1-tablespoon salt and 1 tablespoon oil. Cook lasagna pasta at a boil about 15 minutes. Drain and cover with cold water. Brown onion and Hamburg until crumbly. Drain excess fat. Stir in spaghetti sauce. Spoon ½ cup of the meat mixture into the bottom of a 13x9x2 inch-baking pan. Drain noodles. Layer noodles, cottage cheese, mozzarella, meat sauce and Parmesan cheese. End with a layer of noodles and meat sauce. Sprinkle top with Parmesan cheese. Cover with greased foil. Bake in preheated oven 375 degrees for 1 hour. Let stand for 15 minutes and then cut into squares.
